How it started
Yesterday, I listened to a talk by a PhD who has learned five foreign languages. He said:
- Be brave to speak and don’t be afraid of making mistakes;
- Do some preparation before coming to the English corner.
Therefore, I am writing this blog to record the preparations I am making for today’s English corner.
Introduce myself
Hello everyone, my name is Neo. I am a senior software engineer. I used to work for a multinational company, and now I am an independent developer. In my free time, I enjoy reading books, watching movies, playing video games, and writing articles. I am looking forward to making new friends and improving my English here. Thank you!
If someone asks why I want to leave:
I decided to leave because I was under a lot of pressure and I felt that my contributions were not fully recognized. I wanted to find an environment where I could grow and feel more appreciated.
Topic
How can I cheer myself up if it’s raining and I have to go to work in the morning?
Another important reason for my decision was financial. I wanted to earn more money and have greater control over my income. By becoming an independent developer, I have the opportunity to take on different projects, explore new possibilities, and improve my financial situation while doing what I enjoy.
Why do I always stay up late even when I know it’s bad for me?
Another reason was that I was overconfident about my health. I thought I could handle the stress and long working hours without any problems, but later I realized that I had underestimated the impact on my well-being.
If you met a 10-year-younger version of yourself,what would you say to him or her?
My advice is: don’t panic, and don’t compare yourself to others. Instead, focus on your own goals and do what you really want to do.
